Portugal is a country that produces excellent cheeses and benefits from a rich tradition of artisan cheese making including specialist sheep and goat cheeses.The long history of Portuguese cheeses is based on artisan methods, which includes the production of cheeses hand made and cured naturally.     These unique cheese have a superior taste and flavour due to superior breeds, the pastures and their production and aging, their quality is recognised both nationally and internationally. These traditional methods of cheese production have them earned them the nationally recognised and honorable status of Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). This means that the products can only be produced in the specified regions, using a traditional method of cheese making and aged accordingly.

In order to enjoy our cheeses at their best allow them to soften at room temperature for several hours. We hope that you will enjoy the tastes and flavours of rural Portugal..
